Inaugural School Cluster – Project Plan

The Inaugural School Cluster in rural Michoacán, Mexico, is the first deployment wave of CESC Foundation connected classrooms. Each site (Inaugural 1, 2, 3, 4, 5…) receives a standardized, secure computer lab designed for bilingual learning and long-term maintainability.
The project is delivered in phases:
- Phase 1 – Design & Assessment: Site surveys, power and connectivity checks, and local partner alignment.
- Phase 2 – Build & Imaging: Staging 20+ refurbished Dell workstations with dual monitors, standardized OS image, and classroom software.
- Phase 3 – Deployment: Onsite installation of workstations, networking, routing, and secure internet access.
- Phase 4 – Training & Handover: Basic teacher and admin training, documentation, and support channels.
- Phase 5 – Ongoing Support: Remote health checks, updates, and expansion planning for additional schools.
Each school costs approximately $5,000 USD to fully equip. Sponsors can adopt a specific school and follow its progress through photos, stories, and field notes.

El Cluster Inaugural de Escuelas en las zonas rurales de Michoacán, México, es la primera fase de despliegue de aulas conectadas de la Fundación CESC. Cada sitio (Inaugural 1, 2, 3, 4, 5…) recibe un laboratorio de cómputo estandarizado y seguro, diseñado para el aprendizaje bilingüe y la sustentabilidad a largo plazo.
El proyecto se entrega en fases:
- Fase 1 – Diseño y evaluación: Visitas a las escuelas, revisión de energía y conectividad, y coordinación con socios locales.
- Fase 2 – Ensamble e imagen: Preparación de más de 20 computadoras Dell reacondicionadas con monitores duales, imagen de sistema operativo estandarizada y software para el aula.
- Fase 3 – Despliegue: Instalación en sitio de las computadoras, redes, enrutamiento y acceso seguro a internet.
- Fase 4 – Capacitación y entrega: Capacitación básica para docentes y administradores, documentación y canales de apoyo.
- Fase 5 – Soporte continuo: Monitoreo remoto, actualizaciones y planificación de expansión a más escuelas.
Cada escuela cuesta aproximadamente $5,000 USD para equiparla por completo. Los patrocinadores pueden “adoptar” una escuela específica y seguir su avance a través de fotos, historias y notas de campo.
